Curt Willis signed a million dollar contract out of college only to sustain a career ending injury on the brink of getting a shot at the big leagues. His dream of playing big league ball over, he returns home where he reunites with his childhood friends and teammates Rock, Joe, and Phil. Together they form the Wombats and dominate the Knoxville Amateur Baseball League every summer.

One thing they have not dominated is the Amatuer World Series, played every year in South Carolina, where their arch enemy, the Venezuelan National Team, has had their way with the Wombats. Having decided it's their last season together, the boys make an oath to each other to go out on top and win the World Series before they hang up their cleats for good.

Amateurs is a coming of age story about four men brought together at a young age by the game of baseball. It's about the bonds of brotherhood formed on a ballfield and the hardship they go through when it is time to leave the game behind. We take a trip through their last season together, experiencing all of the laughs, the love of the game, and their love for each other along the way.

Amateurs pulls you along while the whole way tickling your armpit.
